We asked Mike for his perspective on news over the last couple of days that some electronics are excepted from recent tariff increases.

On Friday, the White House announced some very temporary tariff exceptions for the electronics and semiconductor industries:
The White House release lists product codes that require you to reference the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS):
We would encourage suppliers to reference the HTS codes listed in the announcement for applicability to their relevant product codes under the HTS.
The following appears to be most relevant:
8524 – Flat panel display modules, whether or not incorporating touch-sensitive screens: Without drivers or controls circuits
