A Promotional Idea From Ireland

AdWorld shares a story about Irish outdoor advertising company, Exterion Media, teaming up with grocer, Love Irish Food, in what they call the Love Irish Food Brand Development Award.  Love Irish Food is a cooperative based on promoting Irish made and grown grocery products.

The competition allows local member brands to submit their product details and story to a judging panel who chose the eventual winner.  The winner receives a Brand Award of 70,000 Euros in advertising space.   The winning campaign will appear for a two week cycle (14 days). The prize includes print production and digital animation.

Do you have a local grocery company or Co-op that focuses on local produced products?  Might be an interesting way to introduce local vendors to the power of outdoor advertising.  Could be easily scaled to meet the needs of a large or small market.
