Lehigh Valley Live reports that the Wilson Borough town council is considering approval of a billboard permit at Fisk Field in exchange for rent payments and a new football scoreboard.  “It would be a win-win for the borough”, the town’s solicitor was quoted as saying.  The town is a month away from issuing RFP’s.

Insider’s take: Win-win.  The town’s businesses get advertising to promote their businesses.  A billboard company gets a valuable investment.  The city gets rent to fund operating services.  The youth football association gets a new scoreboard.  Expect to see more transactions like this.
