Europe based Invidis had an article this week confirming that announcement that Irish rock band U2 are scheduled to open the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas this year.

The $2 billion sphere project has been under construction for a number of years. The MSG Sphere will not only be the tallest spherical sphere in the world; the largest 16K LED screen is also created here. It comes from the Saco company, which also built the world’s largest LED façade on the Burj Khalifa . Together with individual sound for each of the 17,000 seats, live events with a wow effect are to take place here.
