Insider reported last week about Lamar appealing a written decision by the Southborough Building Commissioner who required the Company get a report from the Planning Board before even submitting its application for a use-variance to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Lamar had filed an appeal on the decision.
Wicked Local reports that the Zoning Board of Appeals last Wednesday night reversed the building inspector’s decision to not accept the application to build a digital billboard. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted to allow the application to be submitted retroactively to Aug. 23.
The proposal calls for installing a 48- by 14-foot digital billboard at 8 Turnpike Road, where a new auto mechanic shop and store is being built on the Framingham line. The ZBA vote did not approve the project.
