Rate This Ad allows a billboard designer to rate a random piece of billboard artwork using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great). Then the designer talks about what they may have done differently for outdoor advertising.   • This ad for a renamed university does a good job of attracting attention with the bright blue background and white text and graphics.
  • The new name is large and easily legible.
  • The line of text under the name could be larger because it seems to explain the message and introduce a new slogan.
  • As an awareness ad, it does what it was designed to do. This ad gets a 3 (average).
