Parents use digital billboards to promote public conversation on resuming school.

Digital billboards provide a voice for citizens to engage in speech on community issues.  Citizens in Sonoma County are running this ad on a Veale Outdoor billboard in Sonoma county to promote a public conversation about the need to resume schooling.  Veale Outdoor’s General Manager Tom Jackson tells Insider this:

Tom Jackson, General Manager, Veale Outdoor

The Veale Outdoor Advertising digital billboard on Sonoma county’s “Main Street” Highway 101 reaches over 130,000 vehicles per day and is viewed by most Sonoma County residents. Hwy 101 is traveled daily by commuters, business traffic and Mom’s & Dad’s taking their kids to school, soccer practice, music lessons or other activities and the Rally to Open Sonoma County schools message is relevant to everyone on Hwy 101. Opening Sonoma County schools is an important issue and we hope having the message on the digital billboard will facilitate discussions toward a solution for safely opening schools as soon as possible. The recent media buzz about this message illustrates that there is no better way to communicate with the community.

ABC 7 news picked up the story.
