US out of home stocks rallied in the fourth quarter of 2020. Clear Channel Outdoor, OUTFRONT and Lamar outperformed the S&P 500 as you can see in the chart below. Clear Channel was up 62% in the fourth quarter of 2020. Outfront gained 29%. Lamar gained 20%. The S&P 500 was up 11%.

US out of home stocks haven’t fully recovered from Covid. The S&P 500 rose 15% during the full year 2020 while Lamar declined 6%, OUTFRONT declined 29% and Clear Channel Outdoor declined 42%. Billboard Insider expects out of home stocks to increase faster than the S&P 500 during 2021 as urban markets and the entertainment events sectors rebound from covid.
