The Inrix US National Traffic Volume Synopsis Issue #10 (week ended May 22) reports that traffic last week had the largest rebound since Covid. Some other findings:
- Personal travel improved to 81% of normal for the week ended May 22, up form 75% of normal for the week ended May 15.
- Long haul truck travel improved to 95% of normal for the week ended May 22, up from 94% of normal for the week ended May 15.
- Personal travel increased in every state for the fifth week in a row. Four states (Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota and Alaska) and one metropolitan area (Mobile) actually had personal traffic which exceeded pre-covid levels.
