Daily Billboard’s 3 of a Kind: Halloween

With the witching season well underway and ghoulish skeletons, cobwebs and gravestones adorning houses and lawns, this month Daily Billboard thought we’d look at how different companies approach Halloween in their outdoor ads.
First up is this horrifying special extension cut-out example for Universal Studios Hollywood’s annual Halloween Horror Nights. It obviously helps your attractions stand out when you have recognizable horror franchises to play with, like Evil Dead, and this fiendish visual with a possessed demonic girl emerging from the cellar really helped bring the more grown-up frights to the skies of Studio City in October 2013.
Another theme park getting in the Halloween spirit back in October 2010 was Disneyland. This witchy billboard spied above Wilshire Boulevard utilized one of Disney’s villains for their Halloween campaign holding a pumpkin carved in the shape of Mickey Mouse, so you knew exactly where the family-friendly scares were to be found.
And the third trick or treat example is for discount retailer, 99c Only Stores, snapped along Pico Boulevard in mid-October 2016. This scary spider made up of all the things you need to make your Halloween costumes, decorations and parties go with a “Boo”, really was an eye-catching treat.
If these spooky examples have helped get you in the spooky spirit, make sure you check out all these other  Halloween-themed billboards  from years past over at Daily Billboard.
Come back next month when we’ll be having a look at three billboards each with a vehicle license plate theme.
