Scenic America has “gifted” Chatham Transit System a certificate in appreciation of a decision to give up transit advertising. “All the little things and not so little things add up” says a Scenic representative.
All the little things add up. Maybe Scenic should “gift” the transit system the $165,000/year to make up the average annual lost transit advertising revenues. The Chatham transit system should be looking for every means possible to raise non-tax revenue. It’s run up $14 million in operating deficits over the past five years.
