The Mt Airy News reports that Surry County, North Carolina county commissions are scheduled to consider a new billboard zoning proposal at 6pm tonight.  The new proposal will:

• Allow billboards to be placed on property oned industrial manufacturing.

• Create an opportunity for billboards to be constructed on property zoned highway business and community business through a conditional use permit.
