Clear Channel Outdoor Revenue up 8.7% in 2Q 2026

Clear Channel Outdoor’s positive momentum continued into the second quarter of 2026.  Here are the results of the company’s 2Q 2026 earnings release and 10Q, sponsored and analyzed by SignValue.  The was no earnings call or financial guidance because the company expect to go private in the next couple of months.

  • Revenue increased 8.7% to $438 million in the second quarter of 2026.  America billboard revenue was up 7% due to increased 2026 FIFA world cup revenues and growth in the San Francisco/Bay area.  Airports billboard revenue was up 14% due to higher digital advertising sales. National sales made up 34% of Americas billboard revenue and 58% of airports revenue.  Here’s a breakdown of performance by segment.

  • Operating expenses increased 6% to $266 million.  America billboard expense was up 4% due to higher site lease expense and high incentive pay.  Airport expenses were up 11% higher airport royalties.
  • Adjusted corporate expenses increased 24% to $29 million due to higher bonuses and insurance costs.
  • As a result of the above, adjusted EBITDA increased 12% to $143 million.
  • Capital expenditures totaled $17 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.  Clear Channel Outdoor ended the quarter with 64,521 total displays including 5,145 digital displays.
  • Debt totaled $4.9 billion at June 30, 2026.
  • Clear Channel Outdoor closed the sale of its Spain operation in August 2026 for $130 million.  The money will be applied against debt.
  • Clear Channel Outdoor’s go private transaction is anticipated to close in the third quarter of 2026.

SignValue’s Take: The airports segment continued a string of high growth quarters.  Nice to see billboards report a strong quarter as well.  The Spain sale removes one more distraction. Lots of momentum as the company goes private.  If you have questions, contact one of SignValue’s experienced analyst for a free and confidential consultation at info@signvalue.com or call 480–657–8400.
