Interstate Outdoor began in Cherry Hill, NJ in 1984 with a focus on outdoor advertising opportunities in the New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York markets.

In 2000, Interstate Outdoor Advertising acquired R.C. Maxwell Company to become the largest out-of-home advertising company based in the state of New Jersey.

To capitalize on the growing market in Chicago, Interstate further enhanced its inventory with an expansion into Illinois and Indiana in 2007.
