Gordon Outdoor Advertising operates a billboard plant with 136 faces including nearly 40 digital faces in Oklahoma and Kansas.  The company is in a strong development phase.  Gordon Outdoor specializes in unique and high end LED billboard locations.  Jeff Gordon is the company’s owner. Brian Firth is the company’s in-house graphics artist and production manager.

Jeff, how did you get in the outdoor business.

I started with some small structures in downtown Tulsa 25 years ago. Within the next year I started constructing large billboard structures.

What’s new at the company over the past year?

Currently Gordon is in a strong development phase and has been adding some very special LED sign locations to the existing plant.

Gordon recently acquired a renovated 120 year old 3 story brick building located in downtown Broken Arrow on Main Street in the very popular Rose District.  This building is located on the corner of the intersection very near where Gordon’s previous offices have been located for the last 13 years. Jeff Gordon resides as well as runs the company from this building.  “This place is really special and is an excellent location and I love everything about being here in this area for many reasons.  There are about 10 or so great restaurants within steps from my door and everyone loves coming to this area.  (Jeff Rushton – owner of Media Resources) and I worked together on a special project which resulted in the placement of a large 9’ x 16’ Media Resources LED screen inside the lower area in this building.  This is awesome in every way….  Movies, sports, TV, computer monitor, and great for meetings.
What are some of your objectives for the coming year?
I am really just enjoying the process of adding more high quality locations as well as the challenges that come with adding more inventory and responsibilities.  The creative process is really what drives me in addition to the business end of things.  There is a certain satisfaction in visualizing something and then watching it become a reality.  Over the years we have developed a lot of valued relationships and I enjoy that process and value it a great deal.  It is most important to me that Gordon continues to simply add extreme value to the advertisers, landowners, employees, vendors and everyone associated.  No success is possible without the help of others.
