Here’s what you might’ve forgotten, disregarded, or simply missed.

This year’s IBO conference in Atlanta was packed to the skirt with valuable information. Some of it even focused on creative. And why not, without solid creative, billboards don’t work.

THING YOU MIGHT’VE MISSED #1

The IBO’s new Creative Committee, it’s a thing.

Andrew Husband of Meadow Outdoor and me, Richard Molinaro of, well, Up To Something announced the new IBO Creative Committee. But why?

We’re first and foremost—a guide.

There are a lot of creative questions among independent billboard owners and the creative folks they work with. Questions that often go unanswered. Hell, in some cases, questions you might not even know to ask.

The IBO Creative Committee is here to help. Here to guide the conversations and inspire better creative by setting the standard for our industry.

We’re not all behind a curtain, out of touch or inaccessible. We’ll be on your conference stages, in the IBO’s community forums, and in your email inboxes, whether you want us there or not.

So, don’t be stranger. Say “sup.” Tap us on the shoulder. Or wave at us like a Halloween inflatable in a storm. Dont’ wanna talk to me or Andrew, hit up Todd Turner and/or Chris Nash—they’re driving this thing too. We’re here FOR YOU and your Creative team.

THING YOU MIGHT’VE MISSED #2

2026 Indie Impact Awards is oooopen.

Now’s the time to enter. Not December.

This is the only awards show made just for the independents of out of home. No global agencies. No corporate giants. Just the billboard companies who build creativity from the ground up—one structure, one small business, one wild idea at a time.

If you’ve put up an ad that stopped traffic (figuratively, please), made your market laugh, or made your competitors jealous, throw it in the ring.

Entering is free.

You can enter as many campaigns as you want.

Deadline: December 31, 2025..
