Adams Supports Shalom Center

Madison, WI – Adams Outdoor Advertising hosted a live billboard installation on Thursday, May 22 at Roosevelt Road and 26th Ave. in Kenosha, WI to celebrate the launch of Shalom Center Interfaith Network of Kenosha County’s new awareness billboard campaign.

Established in 1982, the Shalom Center is a lifeline for those in need, offering the only homeless shelter, largest food pantry, and longest-running nightly meal program in Kenosha County, where 14.8% of residents live in poverty. Support is provided in ways that meet immediate needs and respect human dignity, seeking to restore self-sufficiency by maximizing the potential of the people they serve.

The goal of the billboard campaign is to raise awareness, inspire action, foster a culture of support, and ignite community discussions around homelessness and food insecurity in the Kenosha area. With many nonprofits vying for attention and donations, cutting through the noise with a clear, compelling message can be challenging. Since most of the organization’s resources go toward helping their clients, there’s usually not much left for advertising.

The Shalom Center was selected from a pool of applicants to participate in the Adams Outdoor Collaborate Program for 2025. The program donates year-long professional advertising campaigns, including design services and professional billboard installation, for the chosen nonprofits.
