Five Holiday OOH Ads That Sleigh

Thanks to Todd and Richard at Up To Something to allow us to reprint their post.  Merry Christmas.

The holidays are the ultimate excuse to go big, bold, and a little extra—just like your neighbor’s over-the-top light display. We’ve had a blast creating festive out-of-home ads that turned heads and spread cheer, so here are five of our favorites that totally sleighed.

1. Vineyard Vines

This brand’s whale mascot has sported hundreds of patterns and accouterment over the years. It seemed fitting to deck it it out in Christmas lights to remind people that Vineyard Vines apparel make excellent gifts.

2. Trico Roofing

If you’ve followed us for any length of time, you’ve probably seen the plethora of crazy crap we’ve crashed into roofs for Trico. Even Santa wasn’t spared. This life-size mannequin dangling from the catwalk has become a holiday tradition for this roofing company.

3. Shades

This inexpensive prop caught a lot of attention. It was just an industrial plastic dome painted red and filled with LED lights. No idea what the dome is actually used for, but it made a perfect Rudolph nose. So many stockings were stuffed with sunglasses this year.

4. ER Katy

ER Katy wants to remind everyone that decorating can be dangerous. They brought a mishap to life on their seasonal billboard campaign.

5. Holiday Spiritometer

This was a fun DOOH (digital out of home) project. Through backend techy magic, the digital billboards would search Twitter for grinch and santa hashtags, analyze the ratio, and update the Spiritometer gauge accordingly.

Let’s make your brand the star on top of the holiday season.
