Tracey Hess on What’s New at SignDash

Tracey Hess, SignDash and Brown Dog Outdoor

If you’re hearing more and more about SignDash, you’re not alone. Billboard Insider interviewed Tracey Hess in January, when she hinted at additional improvements to the software coming this year. We caught up with her again recently to see what SignDash is up to these days and what things look like going forward.

Tracey, since it has been a few months, please remind us, what is SignDash?

In a few words, SignDash is a cloud-based billboard industry software solution.

What would you like people to know about SignDash?

Simple. Effective. Affordable.

SignDash keeps it SIMPLE. Our Dashboard keeps the most important metrics and information front and center. Proposals, contracts, workflow and renewal reminders are at your fingertips. Occupancy, revenue and sales goals are in easy-to-reference graphs.

SignDash is EFFECTIVE. It handles the sales phase of your business from start to finish with inventory management, great looking proposals, and seamless contracts, including e-signatures. In January, I hinted at our plans for invoice integration, and I’m happy to announce that our development team worked with Intuit over the Summer to achieve integration with QuickBooks Online! Our clients love this feature, and I love the “oohs” and “aahs” when I demo the time saved by having SignDash and QuickBooks talking to one another.

SignDash is AFFORDABLE. We pride ourselves on being accessible to all billboard operators no matter their size. For smaller operators, you have to start somewhere, and having organization and professionalism from the very beginning drives success! For larger operators, SignDash provides unmatched functionality for the price.

Other than the Dashboard and the Quickbooks Online Integration, is there anything else new with SignDash?

Yes, we have been quite busy this year! We have added a Sales Funnel Tool. This tool takes into account a sales rep’s proposals, closed sales and renewals for a certain period of time and assigns a rating. This has been a great tool for sales managers as a starting point to discussing sales performance.

Our Team Feed was added after a demo with one of our newest SignDash clients. The Team Feed automatically updates every time a contract comes through, but there is

also a place to share news, celebrate wins, or post photos of new build progress. Ideally, this would replace text message trains and capture information in one place.

We’ve also added a number of new reports based on needs that have been expressed. We are always looking for ways to improve our software and are open to clients’ feedback.

What plans do you have for future development?

We took a quick sigh of relief when our Dashboard was received so well and a huge sigh of relief when the QuickBooks integration was complete, but we didn’t take much of a break! We are already working on our ‘next big idea’ and should have some exciting news to share towards the end of the year!

If anyone is interested in SignDash, what should they do?

For the first time ever, SignDash will be in attendance at the IBO Conference in Fort Worth. I will have a vendor table and will be presenting an overview of SignDash on Thursday afternoon, so I am looking forward to meeting some new people next month.
