Digipoint operates an out of home plant with more than 120 digital billboard faces in Ontario and Quebec.  Billboard Insider talked with Ahmad Shafeeq, the company’s CEO.

How did you get into the out-of-home business?

We got into the digital billboard business by partnering with a real estate developer who owned several commercial properties on busy roads. The developer was interested in entering the industry, and together, we saw the potential for impactful advertising in high-traffic areas. This collaboration allowed us to establish Digipoint Media and quickly grow our presence in the out-of-home space. Our passion for advertising and understanding the critical role it plays in helping businesses succeed has been a driving force behind our growth and commitment to delivering effective solutions.

Whose digital signs do you use, and what have you learned about digital?

We use Media Resources screens for our digital billboards. We have chosen them as they monitor their screens continuously for any potential issues, ensuring that any problems are quickly addressed. The quick turnaround time for resolving issues helps maintain high uptime and reliability, which is crucial for delivering uninterrupted advertising.

What we’ve learned about digital is that it Digital billboards offer an eco-friendly alternative to traditional advertising, reducing waste and energy use while providing a futuristic and attention-grabbing platform for brands. With advanced content management systems and interactive capabilities, we aim to enhance market reach and deliver truly engaging campaigns.

What are some of your objectives for the coming year?

Our objectives for the coming year are to expand our presence across Ontario and help more local brands advertise and showcase their businesses. By growing our network and reaching more communities, we aim to empower local businesses with effective, impactful advertising solutions that drive visibility and success.
