Freedom Media’s Joseph Watson tells Billboard Insider that a digital billboard helped save a life:
Dave, I just wanted to share a little something with you. It is not often that we in the outdoor industry get a thank you for something “Good” that we have done! but several months back we had the opportunity to help out a local family in need. While they had quite a few folks turn out all around the country to test their blood for a possible match for a donor it turned out that Conrad’s own Father was able to be the donor. But in the process of screening the doctors detected a few people that were very ill and did not know it and were actually saved by the simple process of stepping up to try and help this young man. So if you don’t believe in Karma well here is a prime example of the old do unto others saying. I have attached a few of the digital images that we ran…after the little guy was feeling much better.
Billboard Insider’s take: Don’t be shy about mentioning stories like this when you are stonewalled at regulatory meetings. Kudos to Joe and the folks at Freedom Media.
