A Case for Light Blocking Technology

Patriot Ledger and CBS Boston say Weymouth residents are objecting to a three sided digital billboard along Route 3 on the grounds that it is too bright.  The board’s owner Cove Outdoor advertising has offered to install light blocking technology or to lower the billboard but the residents want the billboard moved 1,200 feet.

Insider’s take:  Kudos to Cove Outdoor for agreeing to temporarily turn off the billboard at night and for offering to install light blocking technology.  We’ve written before about the benefits of digital sign light blocking technology.  Sometimes it’s better to install the technology up front as opposed to waiting until people complain.
