Link Media 3rd Quarter Revenues Grow 51%

Boston Omaha Corporation, the parent company of Link Media Outdoor, announced its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2017 in connection with filing its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The Form 10-Q can be found at www.bostonomaha.com.  Here are the highlights.

  • Revenue increased by $492,000 (51%) to $1.5 million for the three months ended September 30, 2017.
  • Cost of Billboard Revenues increased by $377,000 (100%) to $756,000 due to increased lease expenses associated with the acquisition of billboards in urban areas.
  • Billboard Gross Profit increased by $115,000 (20%) to $695,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2017 due to increased revenues.   The firm’s billboard business is Link Media Holdings (“LMH”) in the table below.  GIG is the company’s insurance subsidiary.

 

  • Link owns over 500 billboards in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Wisconsin. Here’s a list of Link’s 2017 acquisitions:

January 2017.  Harlind Outdoor in Wisconsin.  $2.8 million.

May 2017.  Tinsley Outdoor in Georgia.  No price given.

June 2017 Vision Outdoor in Georgia.  $3.2 million.

July 2017.  View Media in Georgia.  $623,000.

  • Link has $102 million in unrestricted cash as of 9/30/17 with no debt.  Insider expects to see more Link out of home acquisitions.
