Kegerreis Buys Palmer Sign Company

Pennsylvania headquartered Kegerreis Outdoor has acquired Palmer sign Company.  The transaction adds 57 new billboards in West Virginia.  This will triple Kegerreis’s coverage in Morgan County West Virginia and will add 32 new billboards in Berkley County West Virginia.

Kegerreis Outdoor Advertising, LLC. operates 2,400 out of home displays across 55 counties in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey and New York.  Kegerreis was started in 1979 by the brothers Ron, Rick and Randy Kegerreis.

Insider talked with Austin Kegerreis about the purchase.

What made the acquisition attractive to you?

The Palmers had decided that they were ready to retire, and the inventory aligned itself very nicely with Kegerreis Outdoor’s current and expanding footprint.
What was the Palmer plant like?

The Palmer plant was managed by Mr. and Mrs. Palmer.  In addition to billboards, they also did a lot of nice graphic work over the years.  They are a wonderful couple and did some very nice things in the West Virginia panhandle as it relates to the local OOH market.
Can we expect to see more acquisitions in the future?

Kegerreis will continue to be interested in acquiring OOH inventory in competitive markets that align with our growing footprint.
