Remembering Texan George Reynolds III (1934-2019)

His son described George Reynolds III as a “John Wayne kind of guy.”

Reynolds died January 2, 2019. He was 84.

In 1976, he founded Reynolds Outdoor Advertising (Dallas area).  Reynolds sold the company to Outdoor Systems (Arte Moreno) in 1997. Reynolds Outdoor Advertising owned and operated 330 billboards throughout the Dallas area.

 

Reynolds served as president of both the Dallas Outdoor Advertising Association and the Outdoor Advertising Association of Texas.

An Air Force officer, Reynolds earned a business degree in 1957 from Southern Methodist University, where he was a champion swimmer.  In high school, Reynolds was captain of football and track teams.

A memorial service was held January 4 in Dallas.

In the passing of an era, Bob Naegele Jr. died November 7, 2018.  He was 78.  His father founded Naegele Outdoor Advertising in Minnesota.
