Pearl Media Announces Agreement with Transbay Transit Center to Serve as the Venue’s Promotional Partner

FAIRFIELD, NJ (June 5, 2017) – Pearl Media, a leader in real estate transformation through cutting edge marketing and digital media platforms, has been selected as the promotional partner for the highly anticipated Transbay Transit Center. The foundation of this initiative will focus on Out-Of-Home marketing to create a one-of-a-kind experience for riders and consumers. The program will span a range of areas including content creation, advertising, events and brand partnerships.

In this role, Pearl will design and manage the venue’s entire Out-Of-Home digital place based network of 274 digital screens. This will cover all communications on transit updates and information, wayfinding, screen networking and on-screen advertisements.

“We’re thrilled for this opportunity to help establish the Transbay Transit Center (TTC) as the premier space in San Francisco for transit, shopping, leisure and cultural experiences,” said Josh Cohen, CEO of Pearl Media. “By pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, we’ll bring together brands, consumers, local residents and long-distance travelers and create a transit facility unlike any other.”

The TTC will be a state-of-the-art transit hub in downtown San Francisco, set to open in Spring, 2018. It will eventually connect 11 transportation systems and span more than one million square feet. Far more than your average train or bus station, the site will feature retail areas, fine dining options in vibrant and inviting, light-filled public spaces. The grand highlight of the location is an approximately 5.4-acre outdoor rooftop park with a garden, trails, a play space for children and an open-air concert amphitheater.

“We look forward to working with Pearl Media to lead this effort because of their deep expertise in venue activation and unique, 360-approach to bringing spaces to life,” said Mark Zabaneh, Executive Director, Transbay Joint Powers Authority. “We look forward to collaborating with them not only in the lead-up to next year’s launch, but also over the long-term to solidify the TTC as the new modern standard for mass transit facilities.”

In addition to running the digital elements, Pearl will be responsible for branded events, sponsorship cultivation and experiential marketing. The company combines a range of creative disciplines with cutting edge technologies, such as projection mapping and interactive development, to form lasting conversations between consumers and brands. The unique aesthetics and high traffic nature of the location will provide the perfect backdrop for building these brand connections.

Pearl currently leads a similar program for New York City’s Chelsea Market and will soon be leading venue activation at the highly coveted Brookfield Place in downtown NYC.

“This work marks a critical step in our company’s mission to be on the forefront of consumer media consumption and evolve our Out-of-Home platform for our clients.” added Cohen. “Static signage and billboards are not the only piece of the new Out-of-Home landscape and it’s up to companies like ourselves to constantly reinvent the consumer experience the industry is capable of providing.”
