Las Vegas Out of Home Market Booming

Commercial News has a feature on Danville, IL headquartered Watchfire signs.   From March to September Watchfire will be installing the largest single video in the world at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas.  130,000 square feet of digital signage.  That’s equivalent to 193 bulletin faces in case you’re counting.  The total project is $30 million.

The Las Vegas Review Journal writes “Las Vegas may look a lot more like Times Square in the future.”  Spectaculars and building wraps are hugely popular as a way to reach convention goers. Building wraps costs anywhere from $100,000 to $1 million per week.

Geopath measures 10,700 pieces of out of home inventory in Las Vegas generating 1 billion weekly impressions.  In May 2018 OAAA estimated that Las Vegas ranked 21 among US cities in out of home spending with a total spend of $69 million.

Independent out of home companies like Las Vegas Billboards are thriving.   Chad Harris of Las Vegas Billboards tells Insider: “Las Vegas right now has around twenty billion dollars in new construction projects set to be completed by 2020. We have a fast-growing community with a booming economy…we are seeing more advertisers coming to us to assist them with their marketing needs. Last year was a record year for us in revenue and growth, we have a handful of digital faces that are sold out for the next six months. Being in business since 1987 in Vegas has given us a strong foundation within our market.”
