Provo, Utah Blip, the self-serve, pay-per-blip digital billboard advertising marketplace, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kurt Tingey, former CFO and Executive Vice President of Clear Channel Outdoor to Blip’s leadership team. Kurt will be leveraging his international and industry networks to further accelerate expansion in the US and abroad.

During his 10 years in his EVP and CFO role at Clear Channel Outdoor, Kurt negotiated and managed the M&A process for over 600 accretive acquisitions and led expansion from 38 to 52 markets. Kurt has seen first hand the revolutionary nature of digital billboards in the OOH advertising industry. Kurt is now helping shape the next evolution of billboards with Blip.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Kurt Tingey’s caliber and experience to lead our expansion efforts in key regions,” said Blip CEO, Brent Thomson. “Kurt is particularly well-equipped to lead this initiative given his extensive experience in finance, advertising, and entrepreneurship. Blip’s growth in international markets will generate significant value for advertisers and sign operators globally, just as it has already done in North America.”

About joining Blip, Kurt said, “Blip is playing a key role in the evolution of the digital billboard landscape, and I am excited to join this team to participate at this critical juncture for the OOH industry. Blip provides a new channel to advertise on billboards—we bring an unrepresented segment of advertisers into a marketplace to solve the problem of underutilized digital billboards. The Blip model and strategy position us well to emerge in new markets and generate new revenue for global sign owners and business owners.”
