Billboards as speech

WECT6 has an article on a nonprofit in Southeastern North Carolina which has spent $1,200 to run ads on a Grey Outdoor static and digital billboards criticizing the Chemours Company for releasing contaminants into the environment.

Insider’s take:  Billboards are a form of speech.  A North Carolina non-profit is using billboards to engage in political discussion.  Don’t be shy about pointing out the way billboards promote speech and alternative points of view when you are talking with politicians and regulators.
