Watchfire RSS Feed updates billboards during b-ball tournament

DANVILLE, Ill. – (March 14, 2017) – The focus of collegiate basketball will be on the brackets for the annual college basketball tournament. Owners of Watchfire digital billboards can download free widgets to integrate basketball scores throughout the tournament beginning March 14, 2017.

“School spirit is at an all-time high each year during the college basketball spring tournament. RSS feeds with real-time score updates are an exciting way to showcase all the bracket busting upsets and help Watchfire’s customers draw additional interest to their digital billboards and LED signs,” said Darrin Friskney, vice president at Watchfire Signs.

Watchfire digital billboard and LED sign owners can download a free file that contains the data feed as well as artwork fitting the most common Watchfire display sizes. The file works exclusively with Watchfire Ignite OA, Watchfire’s proprietary content management software.

Owners of non-standard sized Watchfire billboards or on premise signs can use the RSS feed and their own background artwork for free. Each user must create content that combines the background and the RSS feed, and can select which parts of the feed to use.

The basketball widget campaign is the latest program from Watchfire designed to make it easy for Watchfire’s customers to implement dynamic campaigns on their digital billboards and on premise signs. The company has provided free templates for events like Mother’s Day, college commencements, shopping days until Christmas and others that allow operators and advertisers to take advantage of the unique dynamic capabilities that digital outdoor provides.
