• US Out of Home ad revenues trail economy

    Good news and bad news for out of home revenue growth.

    The good news is that US Out of home advertising revenues have increased for 33 straight quarters.  The bad news is that out of home advertising revenues have trailed the US economy for 8 straight quarters.  Here’s the data.

    Insider’s take:  Out of home revenues are growing at about the rate of inflation which averaged 2.2% over the past 8 quarters.  No real revenue growth is worrisome especially if you have mandatory minimum lease increases which exceed inflation.
