Fairway Chattanooga Billboard attracts attention.

The Times Free Press has run an article discussing Fairway Outdoor’s new 600 square foot digital billboard in downtown Chattanooga.  Fairway recently converted the location from a static billboard to a digital billboard.  The article quotes an attorney who is opposed to the sign: Compromises were made with the sign industry, he said. DOJ approves Indianapolis for Atlanta Swap

The Department of Justice has agreed to let Clear Channel Outdoor swap its Indianapolis billboards to Fairway for Fairway’s Atlanta billboards so long as the companies spin off certain billboards.  The transaction is part of a $150 million multiple market asset swap.  The swap was announced in March but was delayed by a Department of Justice concerns that the swap would reduce competition between the two companies in each market. Fairway Swaps Atlanta Plant To Clear Channel For Indy Plant

Insider has heard from multiple sources that Fairway Outdoor is trading Atlanta outdoor assets and some cash to Clear Channel Outdoor for Clear Channel’s Indianapolis plant.   The Clear Channel Office in Indianapolis still answers the phone as Clear Channel Outdoor.
