Rate This Board By Out of Home Creative

Rate This Board allows a billboard designer to rate a random piece of billboard artwork using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great). Then the designer talks about what they may have done differently for outdoor advertising. This week’s rating is provided by Melody Roberts, an OBIE nominated billboard designer and founder of Out of Home Creative, an outdoor advertising design firm specializing in out of home design for businesses, agencies, media buyers and out of home companies. Melody has been in the outdoor industry since 1999. 

Evolve Bank & Trust – Rating 4 (very good)

  • The overall advertisement is very nice; colors are bold, tier level of importance is in line, logo is large and easy to read.

 

  • At this height, I believe the public would be able to read the logo and website but not the physical location.

 

  • Suggestions I would have discussed with the client:
    1. Most business do not use “www” anymore. I would have left it off and just had GetEvolved.com (Capitalizing only the G and E).
    2. If the board is located in Arkansas, I don’t feel it’s necessary (unless legally required) to have the state and zip code. I would have edited the address to read as follows which would have allowed the bottom line to be larger and easier to read, “111 E. Huntington, Ste. A • Jonesboro • 870-933-2480”.
