Rate This Board allows a billboard designer to rate a random piece of billboard artwork using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great). Then the designer talks about what they may have done differently for outdoor advertising. Nourse Automall

Rating: 1 (not good)

  • Nourse Chillicothe Automall seems to have been on the right track with the ad space purchase, but choked on the message.  Too many elements and too many things.
  • “Best Month Ever” may not mean much to John Q. Public.
  • Can you get the “savings details” at the web site, or is that an email address?
  • And then there’s the parade of logos across the bottom panel. If there was ever an opportunity to remind the advertiser that billboards should focus on one thing or kiss your ROI goodbye, this was it. Even as a simple awareness piece this falls short since the business name gets a little lost.
