Triblive reports that the city of Pittsburgh has sued Lamar Advertising seeking immediate removal of the large poster atop Mount Washington.  The city contends Lamar installed the 32 by 225 foot sign without approval.  Last year the city issued a notice of violation.  The city’s Zoning Board of Adjustment denied Lamar’s appeal.  The dispute dates back to June 2016.  The city unsuccessfully tried to convince a judge that the sign should be removed for maintenance violations in September 2016.
