OUTFRONT Inflatable Billboard For Philly Zoo

OUTFRONT installed an inflatable billboard for the Philly Zoo.  Insider talked with Outfront Art Director Briana Foley about the project.

Where did the idea for an inflatable billboard come from?

The OOH request from the Philadelphia Zoo came in but our AE went a step further and pitched the idea to do an inflatable to the media agency. They jumped on it and really loved that this would be the very first inflatable in the Philadelphia market. I worked directly with the Zoo’s creative team to help facilitate the process and offer ideas.

Who was involved in the install.

The install was done by our OUTFRONT ops team in Philly. This vinyl weighed 200 pounds! But the install is essentially the same as a standard vinyl install. The inflatable product is sewn onto the flex which makes the process seamless, it and can be rotated to another board if desired.

What’s been the response

The feedback has been incredible. The agency is really excited about it. There has also been a ton of excitement and interest from other advertisers — we have two more in the works slated to start in August!

Here’s a 30 second video featuring the sign.

Insider thanks Sarah Shaev at Sutherland Gold for making this story happen.
