LED National Announces Digital Sign Launch

The start of the new year has brought the announcement of the launch of LED National with aspirations to fill what they see as a void in the LED sign and lighting industry.  LED National has launched the first of its three divisions which is the LED signage and digital billboard advertising division.  Insider had the opportunity to interview Emanuel Cacuci, CEO of LED National.

Emanuel, the announcement was something of a surprise to the industry. What is the back story of the formation of LED National?

I’ve had past success in the LED signage industry and being friends with Mark Willis (CEO of Willis Group) and having great respect for each other, we saw an opportunity to work together in an industry that we both had a lot of interest in.

Where and how do you plan to manufacture your LED sign products?  What can the industry expect to see from LED National in product offerings?

Business owners investing in LED signage are not professional advertisers or graphics experts yet our competitors expect them to be, by simply selling them an LED sign. From the start we saw a huge void in the LED signage industry because of this fact. Our business model is simple; we focus on offering professional custom advertising content using the highest quality LED sign on the market, all installed, managed, and a parts and on-site labor warranty. We call this our “Total Managed Solutions” program and although very valuable; it will be included with all standard sales! Our LED Lighting division will focus on delivering energy saving benefits to business owners and public entities nationwide.  We have formed strategic relationships with a wide array of US and global LED lighting manufacturers, enabling us to provide high performance, DLC certified LED lighting products and services for virtually any application at highly competitive prices.  When combined with the revenue generating potential of LED signage, we offer an unprecedented package that enables business owners to maximize their profit by both lowering operating costs and increasing revenues.

Why is content for an LED sign hard to create by a prospective business owner and don’t most LED signs come with a library uploaded with images?

We hired the most experienced LED sign graphics designer with 26 years of experience working on thousands of LED signs during this time, specifically because it takes a special skill to create LED sign graphics and not all graphics artists are equipped with this skill. Rachel Walters heads our graphics department and has worked for the biggest sign companies in the industry. Content has to be specifically created for each individual sign using the matrix of that sign. Sure you can use “canned” images that some LED signs come with, but they won’t be made for your particular sign matrix; so your image comes out choppy and un-legible making your investment useless. Another problem I see all the time, are LED signs with so much information on them; that they look all cluttered and the message becomes lost to its audience. Our in-house experts have the graphics and advertising experience that most business owners either don’t have, or don’t have time for.

I understand you are also looking at getting into the sign ownership business?

Yes, Mr. Mark Willis has for a long time toyed with the idea of billboard ownership for quite some time. His approach is incorporating innovative ideas that are truly groundbreaking in the billboard advertising industry. I’m very excited to say that we will be rolling out LED National Media nation-wide in the very near future.

Tell us about your background and other key members of your team?

I have been in the LED signage industry since 2005 and was very successful selling Optec Displays. In 2009 I was one of the original founders of Advantage LED Signs, which by the way had its humble beginnings as six-person startup on its way to a very successful run in the industry. The Chairman of LED National, Mark Willis, is one of the most successful businessmen and entrepreneurs in the USA. He is the CEO of many very successful companies including Willis Group. Keith Knackstedt is the Chief Operating Officer with over 30 years of experience in the sign industry. He was the Director of Marketing for Optec Displays, training and assisting their dealers nationwide while also developing Optec Display’s lighting division.

Any other thoughts you want to pass along to the industry?

We are creating the foundation of a company that will quickly become a leader in the industry putting the needs of the client first and implementing innovative ideas that will serve their needs. We want to see all of our clients get the maximum return on investment from an LED sign and with our unique “Total Management Solutions” program we will be doing just that.
