Going all Out for the Arts

Jason D. King, VP, Corporate Communications, Clear Channel Outdoor Americas

For the second year in a row, Clear Channel Outdoor Americas proudly partnered with the New York Musical Festival to help give a space, voice and visibility to new works of art from a diverse range of writers and performers. And since it’s inception, The New York Musical Festival has presented hundreds of new musicals, including 5 that have opened on Broadway netting three Tony Awards and 15 nominations.

As part of Clear Channel Outdoor’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, we believe in giving back to the communities where we operate our business and to the causes that are vital to the uniqueness, safety and cultural well-being in those areas. And in New York, there’s nothing more uniquely New York City than musical theatre! And supporting the arts ensures that #MusicalsLiveHere.

On a personal note, I always knew I’d be onstage–guess I never figured being onstage talking about the value of theater could be part of my job. But I’m honored that Clear Channel Outdoor’s New York market has entrusted me to serve in a Board leadership position with NYMF and for the opportunity to open this festival’s patron preview and close out this year’s festival onstage during the final production of Ben, Virginia & Me: the Liberace Musical.
