Gallatin Tennessee Gets Digital Billboard

gallatinThe Tennessean reports that Gallatin’s first digital billboard is operating.  Lamar has converted a billboard on West Main Street behind Krystal from static to digital.

Gallatin voted earlier this year to amend city regulations and end a decade long ban on new digital signs and billboards.

Lamar is the only company thus far to have applied for a digital sign permit.

Insider’s take: A nice story with quotes from the local chamber of commerce about the benefits of a digital sign to local businesses and a description of how digital signs can help with Amber Alerts.  Lamar did a good job communicating the benefits of digital signs.
