Florida Billboard Damage

Yesterday Insider wrote about damage from Hurricane Michael in Florida.

Neil Bell of New South Outdoor was in Florida post-hurricane and gives Insider this report.

I went down one week after the hurricane hit with some friends to help a church that was destroyed and saw the devastation. It really did look like a tornado hit all over the city….
I used to operate some signs there about 10 years ago which Selective Structures built. Those were in good shape with minimal damage to a few panels or skirting.
If a sign was wood or I-beam, it was toast. Poster panels were blown off almost every poster that I saw. Many bulletins were down on the ground or on top of buildings. I saw one monopole that was still standing but had spun around in its footing like a weather vane…
Billboard Sales Rep Gilbert Nichols provided Insider photos of Hurricane Michael’s damage.  Many billboards with hurricane frames survived.  Many without hurricane frames did not.
