YESCO produces custom signs, lightings and display systems for businesses and operates a billboard plant in the Western United States.  The company was started in 1920 by Thomas Young.  The company remains privately held and is now managed by the third and fourth generations of the Young family.  YESCO Outdoor Media operates 2,105 faces in 7 western states. The company’s plant includes 312 digital and 1,793 static faces.

YESCO operates four separate companies. An on-premise sign company, an outdoor media company, a franchising company for their service and maintenance business, and finally, a financing company that leases signs and equipment.

In April 2016 YESCO Outdoor Media acquired 94 Reagan Outdoor faces in Montana and Idaho.  YESCO is the second largest outdoor company in both states.

Patrick O’Donnell is President of Outdoor Advertising. O’Donnell also sits on the OAAA board of directors and chairs the OAAA’s legislative committee and is a member of the OAAA Hall of Fame.

During the past year YESCO Outdoor entered into working relationships with both Blip and Watchfire. More recently they are currently involved in a makeover of the Reno NV arch, arguably its best know landmark.  A rendering of the completed project is below.

  1. John,
Just a note on YESCO Outdoor Media. “YESCO” is an acronym and always capitalized. We operate in 7 states, the six you mentioned, plus Arizona. Our total display face count is 2105 (1793 static plus 312 digital slots on 39 digital units). It looks like our digital inventory got overstated.

We love insider at YESCO Outdoor Media and I personally appreciate all you do for the industry. Thanks for the great work.

  2. Thanks for your comments Patrick. I went ahead and made the changes to make sure we had all the information updated.
